Forget Me Not

Written August 10th, 2001

Words never felt so full
as when they danced from your lips
though I seldom saw their pirouettes...
Life never seemed to float
quite like bubbles blown from your eyes,
perfect spheres of dreams unpricked....
What longing sings so sweetly,
but the cry of my heart for the song of your own,
two voices entangled in harmony?
Might love's cruel mirrors have dazzled mine eyes,
while failing to catch yours?
Terrified, I grasp at the vapors that fade before me,
the mists that unraveled the passions of my soul,
a silvery dew that clings to my shivering spirit...
Don't you remember?
Didn't it drench your inner breast in momentous exhilaration?
Didn't it infiltrate your silent veins,
filling every pore with a joyous melody,
recklessly infecting every inch of you
with me?
Don't forget, trust the whispers of your soul....
...they speak the memories of my own...
